South Suburban Parks and Recreation puts on an annual Easter Egg Scramble for kids of all ages (including the grown-up kids). Despite very chilly temps and shivering wind, we made our first family appearance this year! Having no idea what to expect, Darren and I were a little bemused to discover that the egg "hunt" was nothing more than about 200 eggs and other treats strewn across a 20'x20' tarp on the grass. Needless to say, the "hunt" was over in about 5 minutes! Thank goodness the organizers divided all the kids in to age groups (0-3, 4-6, 7-10, and Adult Kids) or we would have had some squished little bunnies!
