Woke up to find this little guy resting after completing what was clearly an amazing overnight project! Spiders usually creep me out, but I could not resist getting close to this one to admire his handiwork. I am so humbled by how God equips each and every one of us, creatures big and small, with the tools necessary to live this life on Earth.
We wanted to witness Spidey having breakfast. So we watched, and waited. I told the kids all about how spiders wrap up their bugs and eat them. And, I even watched as a bug made the mistake of getting too close. To my surprise... let's just say there was no wrapping up and the bug felt no pain. ;)
That's the web just to the left of the chair. It's suspended about 2 feet above the patio between the chair and the post to the gazebo tent.

Aimee, your photography is just awesome! Wow, I am very impressed and explaining to the kids is very important as they certainly are "learners" and love most bugs!xoxoxo Mom/Gammy K.
